55 Bridge Street
A new build at 55 Bridge Street, Nelson; completed in the first half of 2025. Now home to the Nelson branch of Westpac NZ and the offices of Tinline Property.
The building features 80 perforated and folded aluminium panels - most facing north toward Wakatu Square, with the remainder oriented south over the Westpac entrance onto Bridge Street. Made from 3mm aluminium, the screens have a 40% open area perforation and are finished in a pearlescent Dulux Bronze Copper powder coat. This combination provides visual privacy and effective sun shading while contributing to the building’s striking appearance.
The screens support the building’s seamless integration into a revitalised streetscape that includes wider footpaths, green spaces, and upgraded amenities — enhancing the Nelson CBD’s vibrancy as a place to work, visit, and do business.
