Completed in late 2023, this project included design & manufacture of over 400 three-metre-high panels for two sides of the Christchurch Hospital's 450-space car park, along with additional metalwork components around the site.
These panels, of 4mm thick aluminium, feature custom perforations that reflect Ngāi Tahu Property iconography. They are shaped to achieve the architect's dynamic vision, creating contoured protrusions that cast ever-changing shadows throughout the day.
In addition to providing design support for the architects, Fielden played a key role in actively coordinating manufacture and installation with VIP Metalwork. This ensured timely deliveries and seamless panel installation at a site with limited storage space.
